Five Things Friday

Five Things Friday

Alas, I have been bamboozled by the voice of procrastination. You know what it says, “scroll through Facebook just one more time… go see what are your cats are up to… one more episode won’t hurt… maybe it’s time to pick up that hobby you’ve been neglecting.”

I could not believe the amount of dust that accumulated on my acoustic guitar. It was safely tucked away in its case, in the closet. So, how does that even happen??? Anyway, I had an itch to play a few tunes. An hour later and I’ve got blisters on my fingers so badly that it hurts to write this.

Thank goodness most of my day has been productive. For all those people fearing Friday the 13th and the full moon, I feel like I’ve got good luck on my side today. I didn’t even write a to-do list, I wrote a done list instead.

  • Because I love my husband, I stood in line at 9:30am in 10 degree weather to pre-order the upcoming Nindendo Switch. *Mentally snaps fingers.*
  • Got our new ATT cell phone plan finalized.
  • Bought quarters from the bank. Quarters = Clean Laundry.
  • Finally got my hair cut.
  • Used $10 off coupon at our new Daily Deals grocery location. Free food!
  • Did the cat litter, vacuumed, dusted, did laundry. Wahoo!

Five Things Friday!

1. Finally Got a Hair Cut

(No picture available, so here’s my cat, Leia, and the hamster, Rey.)

I’m so proud of myself. This is something I’ve put off for way too long. I can’t believe how much lighter my long hair feels with a couple inches taken off.

2. Leia found a new Napping Place

We bought our younger cat this wonderful cat tower a few months ago. It took her awhile, but she finally plays on it and just started napping in the enclosure. We’re finally getting our $40 worth.

3. Chick-fil-A Calander

Last week I won this glorious wall calendar in a game of White Elephant. These cows are definitely going to motivate me to eat more chicken…I mean, work-out.

4. The Grumpy Cat Game

Yes, this is real. And now you can play awful Grumpy Cat mini-games on your iPhone. It’s terrible. I don’t recommend you download it for free from the app store. Because I hate it, it’s the worst. Except that I’m a liar and I LOVE this game!

5. Himalayan Salt Lamp

I didn’t want to put this on the list last week because my lamp was brand new and I didn’t want to make a snap judgement about it. From the minute I turned this thing on I haven’t wanted to be in a room without it. Seriously. It sits right next to my computer so my eyes have a soft light to gaze at instead of the harsh glare of technology. It helps me feel peaceful and calm.  Click here to read up on the 10 reasons salt rocks are awesome.

P.S. In case you were wondering, I don’t get paid to advertise products or celebrity cats.
